Girl Crush # 2

I can't get enough of Michelle Willaims' style at the moment, it's just so perfect and harmonious.  Beauty-wise she makes me want to cut my hair short and go super blond (I won't!). An elfin cut (a modern take on Mia Farrow's famous haircut) combined with her doll-like features and subtle makeup, Michelle is understated chic personified. Style-wise she won me over with her peter pan collars, pastels, very playful style and does tailoring so well.

I'm also absolutely loving the quirky book clutches by Olympia Le Tan she has been carrying recently- it's intellectual fashion.
Cute and quirky: Michelle carried a clutch handbag in the shape of the infamous J. D. Salinger's famous novel The Catcher In The Rye
Apt choice: Michelle chose a book by Arthur Miller, a nod to her nominated role as Marilyn Monroe

Getting lippy!

Hot pink lipstick is everywhere right now; girls are moving away from vampy plum shades and getting ready for the new season. As the weather is literally a wash out here and winter clothes a must, its time to brighten up-even if it's just with makeup!

I'm definitely more of lip balm/lip gloss kinda girl, letting the winged eyeliner do the talking, but lately I've been branching out with lipstick.  Red's ok-it depends the on the shade-avoiding looking like a clown is an important criteria, but recently I've been using a Sephora lipstick in hot pink.
It's less matte, more moisturising (it smells amazing!) so it looks like you probably put lip balm on first and then applied some colour. Its fresh and good for brightening  up my winter (often) all black ensembles.

She's done it again

Alexa Chung at London Fashion Week 2 days ago, rocking a very 60s vibe with a shift dress and babydoll lacy tights. I especially love the brogues, want the brogues; need an I.D on the shoes!

Discovery

An online shopping site I recently discovered, described as 'the first community wardrobe devoted exclusively to fashion', where you can buy and sell items, kind of a chic Ebay I guess, but without the bidding. I hope to find some treasures there!

Back to School

New purchase; a little satchel from H&M, very reminiscent of the Cambridge Satchel Company bags

The Other Olsen Sister

http ://photos.be.com

When it comes to fashion the Olsen sisters rock it-they have the fashion industry in the palm of their hands and have done for years. Before their successful lines The Row and Elizabeth & James their name was synonymous with 'bag lady chic'-which I actually quite liked-those girls know how to layer clothing!  But it's their younger sister Elizabeth (an actress) who's caught everyone's attention recently. Unmistakeably an Olsen with her beautiful wide set eyes, full lips and that perfectly tousled hair she looks like a mix between Ashley and Mary Kate and is set to be one of  2012's biggest names.

Tomboy chic

I'm so in love with Michelle Williams' current style. The haircut totally completes the look!

London Calling

Just booked my trip to London for a girls weekend in March and I cant wait!

A breath of fresh air

Current style crush: Rooney Mara

 fashionfame.com

Rooney Mara's style in recent months means she been hailed as best dressed by numerous publications, photographed wearing Lanvin, Valentino and Givenchy. She doesn't force on the jewellery and appears to prefer simplicity, letting the dress, distinct hair style and makeup do the talking. Love her!

Her look is so slick and striking with her amazing bone structure, porcelain skin and avant garde haircut. She makes me want to cut in a fringe and dye my hair dark brown!
