Queen Carine

I've always admired Carine Roitfeld: she's empowering, always dressed impeccably but a little bit undone (the woman can rock a smoky eye and tousled hair) and above all I loved her work as Editor at French Vogue (sorry Emmanuelle Alt, but its just not the same).  Roitfeld has been an obsession in the blogosphere for a long time and  street photographers go mad for her.

I discovered 'Irreverent' a few months ago and it was subsequently a Christmas present from my parents.  A beast of a book at 368 pages it comes in a hardback case and weighs a ton!

It's a privileged insight into Roitfeld's creative thought process-an exquisite collection of photographs documenting her 30 year career in fashion including editorials from her time at the helm of French Vogue interspersed with notes from designers and extracts from her personal albums-c'est très chic!
